Once upon a time, when I was a publicist (I never called myself that, because that sounds fancy and doing the PR for toys doesn’t feel particularly fancy, but let’s go with it now), my agency was in charge of the Matchbox International Toy Show (which is as glamorous an event as it sounds). As part of the festivities one year we hired Hoop, an artist known for his art cars, to create this (ideally it would have been a full-sized vehicle, but we were working with a budget here people).
I have a very distinct photographic memory of the Time Machine being parked on the main street of my hometown long before we crossed paths during my illustrious PR career. It was definitely his signature vehicle.
