This was on at the gym the other night and deserves recognition as the superior Huey Lewis & The News song.

The Way It Is - Bruce Hornsby & the Range

Your Monday needs a little Bruce Hornsby, no?

I had been developing a complex that my internet sharing had become very running-centric for a bit there, but apparently I have moved on to posting exclusively about Q104.3 (perhaps out of guilt because I have been cheating on them with Spotify and DC101/random stations elsewhere in the country quite a bit lately).
This is my life theme song (the journalism major in me gives a pass to the poor grammar because of the mention of “big brown eyes” that allows me to pretend it’s about me), and, while this may be completely nonsensical, I like to believe in musical signs, and thus that this song showing up today means awesomeness is in my near future.

Long Distance Runaround - Yes

Even I wouldn’t guess this to be the case, but I love this song. It came on yesterday and reminded me.

Kiss from a Rose - Seal

I will never not stop my radio station shuffling on Lite-FM when this is on and shush anyone in earshot while my very favorite part takes place (which is: obviously the dramatic denouement culminating in the line “And if I should fall will it all fall away”)
